Part One - Online Course
Learn the proper execution of loan documents, the etiquette, and rules and regulations of a being a Signing Agent. Please note that there is a test you need to take and pass with an 80% or higher before you're able to take Part 2 of the class.
You will get a link to access this course upon payment. After you've completed this part, you will need to take an online test. The code for the test will be included in your initial download information. You MUST past this test with an 80% or higher to participate in Part 2. Please ensure that Part 1 is completed by April 5th, 2018.
PART Two - hands on Course

A Notary Signing Agent is a notary public who specializes in handling and notarizing loan papers.
What does the hybrid Notary Signing Agent course consists of?
Part One consists of an online course that is written for all notaries that want to become certified Notary Signing Agents. We teach you all the steps you need to know in order to work as a Notary Signing Agent with loan signing documents samples, journal entries, and a list of companies seeking to hire Notary Signing Agents. Part Two is hands-on class titled “Ready-Set-Close.” This consists of review of the Online Class and a mock closing.
Do I need any special configuration on my computer or online connection to use this website?
No, if you can read these Questions and Answers, you are ready to register and take the online course.
As a notary public, what are the benefits in becoming a Notary Signing Agent?
As a notary public you will have more benefits because you will be trained to work with mortgage, title companies and/or signing services in assisting to close real-estate loans and purchases.
Why is it important to be certified?
It is important because notaries with certification have an advantage over notaries without. Companies prefer notaries with the highest education and skills.
After I register how long can I use my username and password?
You will have access to the course for six months; enough time to review the course and pass the notary loan signing certification exam.
How long will it take me to study to take the certification Notary Signing Agent exam?
That question depends on you; you can study the material in one day or over a longer period of up to two weeks if you wish.
Does Cynanotary.com offers a certification exam?
Yes, at the end of this online course you will be able to take the certification exam. The exam consists of 30 questions and you will need to pass it with a score of 80% or higher before you can take the Hands-On portion.
What does the Notary Signing Agent certification exam consist of?
The exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions and the time allowed is 90 minutes.
Can I take the Cynanotary.com certification exam several times?
Yes, you have 3 attempts to pass the exam with 80% or more enough attempts to become certified. After submitting the exam for grading, you will receive your score immediately. If your score is more than 80%, you are ready for the “Ready-Set-Close” part.
What happen if I do not pass the exam in my 3 attempts?
If you do not pass the exam in 3 attempts and still want to become certified you can pay the a certification fee to take the exam again. The re-certification fee is $19.
After passing the exam with 80% or more, when will I receive my certificate?
You will receive it in person after you have taken the Ready-Set-Close portion of the course. If the Ready-Set-Close class is conducted via Webinar, you will receive it by mail at no extra charge.
Can two people take the same course and only pay once?
No, this is a registration for one person only and the certification will be given to the registered name only.
How will I receive my username and password after registration?
After you register, you will type your own username and password; then you may use it to log in. If you have any problem with the registration process, please contact us, and we will resolve it ASAP.
Is my credit card transaction secure when I register?
Yes, Cynanotary.com uses a secure transaction system using SSL and encryption technology. Cynanotary.com does not retain your credit card information after your registration has been completed. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.
Can my company pay for this class?
Yes, your company can pay for this class, or any friend or family member can pay for this class, as long as the registration form is in your name. The certificate will show the name given on the registration form.
Do I need a license to become a Notary Signing Agent?
You need to be a notary public, but you don’t need any special license to become a Notary Signing Agent. We recommend taking the course because you will be prepared for the loan signing process.
I am not a notary public. Can I take the Notary Signing Agent course?
Yes, you can take the course and receive your Notary Signing Agent certification, but in order to work as a Notary Signing Agent you must be a notary public.
Do you offer a live or correspondence course?
We offer a hybrid course: Online and hands-on.

How much can I charge as a Notary Signing Agent?
Usually, notary agents working for loan signing companies receive $75 or more per loan package signed. If working directly with mortgage lenders, title and escrow companies, they receive from $75 to $150 for each loan package signed. Usually you will also need more Insurance. These figures are also dependent on traveling costs.
